I wrote this series of blog posts as I rebuilt my faith after becoming an atheist. The catalyst for that reconstruction was a powerful mystical experience where I felt like I was in the presence of God. But, instead feeling encouraged, I suspected I had a brain tumor causing hallucinations.
Hundreds of thousands of people have read this series, so please know you are not alone.
I hope these posts are helpful, but I'd also like to tell you I wrote a book about what it's like to lose your faith–and how science can help you build a new understanding of God. It's called Finding God in the Waves, and you can learn more about it here.
