Why OS X is more secure than Windows

Clearly, I've had my gripes with OS X and OS X Server. Apple's AFP server and Network Home Directory technologies have been the source of countless nights of frustration and server tuning. Yet, I stick with the platform.

I no zealot. The tool I use for a given task is the one that seems best suited to it by my experience and research. I've often wondered why OS X seems better in so many situations.
