Hi, I’m Science Mike.

I’m a college dropout who talks about science a lot. 🤣

I make podcasts, write books, and talk on stages for a living. You can tap the words in the previous sentence to see examples of what I do. Basically, I help people understand their own life experiences using a combination of empathy, enthusiasm, and deep understanding of the sciences.

I know people like pictures, so here’s a picture of me:

This is a picture of me, Mike McHargue taken by my friend Caroline Lee.

I’ve recently learned I have autism and narcolepsy, and I’m in the middle of coming to terms with identifying as disabled person, all while working in the public eye. I am a white man learning to live in the world in a way that helps people who aren’t white men feel safe and included. Want to know more?

📘 My best-selling book, Finding God in the Waves came out in 2016 and has helped tens of thousands of people navigate faith transitions.

📙 My next book You are a Miracle (and a Pain in the Ass) comes out in April 2020. You can preorder it now though.

Otherwise, some computer code will ask you to join my email list before you leave this website. I hope we get to know each other better. I’m already a big fan of you.

Peace, love, entropy,

Mike McHargue

P.S. I know my website doesn't look cool. My main design goal is to be accessible to people with disabilities. The world needs accessibility more than it needs cool websites.
